Somatic therapy is a therapeutic approach that integrates mind, body and spirit in the healing process and helps release the energy that remains stuck in the body resulting from past unresolved emotions and traumatic events. By getting in touch with physical sensations related to feelings, thoughts, etc., somatic therapy helps us become more connected with ourselves. This modality is widely used in the treatment of trauma.
